Affiliate Terms

1. Approval

We approve or reject applications at our sole discretion, and may close the program or change these terms at any time. Continuing in the program after a change means you accept it.

2. Referrals

A founder is your referral when they follow your affiliate link and then sign up or log in to BetaList within 60 days, in the same browser. If they followed more than one affiliate's link, the first one counts.

Someone who has paid BetaList before following your link is not a referral. Neither are you: you can't refer yourself, your own accounts, or submissions you make or pay for on someone else's behalf, including your clients'.

3. Commissions

You earn 30% of each payment a referral makes to BetaList in their first 12 months as your referral, excluding taxes. A payment's commission becomes due 30 days after it was made. Payments that are refunded, including for rejected submissions, or that end in a chargeback, earn no commission. Neither do sponsorships or other advertising.

Commissions are paid at the start of each month, by Wise to the email in your affiliate settings, once your balance reaches $50. You are responsible for any fees your provider charges and any taxes on what you earn.

4. Promotion

You may share your link on your website, in newsletters and emails to people who asked for them, in videos, and with founders you know. You may not:

• Hide that it's an affiliate link, where the law (such as the FTC's endorsement guides) asks you to disclose it.
• Spam, by email or in comments, forums or other people's communities.
• Send anyone through your link who didn't choose to visit BetaList, for example with automatic redirects, pop-ups, hidden frames or images, or software that loads it in the background ("cookie stuffing").
• Bid on "BetaList" or similar terms in paid search, or run paid ads that send people straight to BetaList, without our written permission.
• List BetaList on coupon or deal sites, or advertise discounts we haven't given you to share.
• Offer rebates or pass on part of your commission as an incentive.
• Promise that a submission will be accepted or featured, or on a given date. Every submission is reviewed under our Submission Terms, whoever referred it.
• Use BetaList's name or logo in a way that suggests you are BetaList or speak for it.

5. Coupons

From time to time we may give affiliates a discount code for a limited campaign. You may share a code only while its campaign runs, and only one we gave you.

6. Termination

We may suspend or end your participation at any time, including for breaking these terms, self-referrals or suspected fraud. Commissions earned through a breach are forfeited. You may leave the program at any time.

7. Liability

We are not liable for commissions lost to tracking failures, such as a visitor blocking cookies or switching browsers, or for interruptions to the program. Our total liability to you is limited to the commissions due to you at the time of the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute about them will be settled in the courts of Singapore.
