Referral Terms

1. Your link

Every BetaList account has a referral link: betalist.com/newsletter?via= followed by its username, or a username it had before. It is the same link as in our affiliate program, whose terms cover commissions on what founders pay.

2. Who counts

A friend counts toward your rewards when they follow your link and subscribe to the BetaList newsletter with an address new to BetaList, and, 30 days later, have confirmed their email, are still subscribed and have clicked something in a newsletter. Your own addresses and duplicates don't count. If someone followed more than one person's link, the first one counts.

3. Rewards

The rewards and the number of friends each needs are listed on the Refer a friend page. Each is given once, when you reach it. We email gift cards to the address on your BetaList account; they can't be exchanged for cash. We may review a milestone before sending its reward, and may change or end the rewards at any time. Rewards you have already received are yours to keep.

4. Fair play

You may not:

• Sign up fake, bought or disposable addresses, or pay or reward people to subscribe.
• Spam, by email or in comments, forums or other people's communities.
• Send anyone through your link who didn't choose to visit BetaList, for example with automatic redirects or hidden frames.
• Suggest that you are BetaList or speak for it.

If you do, we may withhold your rewards and switch off your link.

5. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute about them will be settled in the courts of Singapore.
