Terms and Conditions for Startup Submissions
These terms apply to startup submissions on BetaList and are part of our Terms of Service.
By submitting a startup, you confirm that you are authorized to represent it—as a founder, employee, or authorized representative. Submitting a startup you do not represent, including through affiliate or referral links, is not permitted.
Your startup must meet our submission guidelines, including having a working website on your own domain. We do not accept app store links or pages hosted on free subdomains.
Submitting your startup does not guarantee it will be featured. BetaList maintains full editorial and curatorial discretion over which startups are featured, and this decision is final.
By submitting, you grant us the right to edit your submission for grammar, clarity, and length; to select, crop, or create images; and to categorize your startup as we see fit. We may also change how your startup is presented on our platform, including design, layout, and link attributes, without notice.
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting, you grant BetaList a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your submission content on our platform and in promotional materials.
Priority listing is a paid service that moves your submission to the front of the review queue. Payment is processed immediately. Priority listing guarantees faster review, not acceptance or any specific results.
Advertised timeframes for featuring represent our best effort and may vary based on volume and other factors. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, you cannot choose the exact date of featuring, and your startup may be featured on any day including weekends and holidays.
If your priority listing submission is not accepted for featuring, you are generally eligible for a refund. Refunds are provided at BetaList's discretion.
We reserve the right to limit or deny refunds in cases of abuse, repeated rejected submissions, violations of these terms, or if your startup is ultimately featured. Changes to how your listing is presented, as described in Section 2, do not constitute grounds for a refund. Refunds may be issued minus payment processing fees at our discretion.
You are responsible for ensuring your website is live, functioning correctly, and able to handle traffic at the time of featuring. While we make reasonable efforts to verify your website is accessible before featuring, BetaList is not responsible for issues arising from your website being unavailable or malfunctioning.
If we contact you regarding your submission, you are responsible for responding promptly. Failure to communicate in a timely manner may affect the processing of your submission.
Submissions that are misleading, fraudulent, or otherwise violate these terms may be rejected or removed at any time. BetaList reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation and to restrict accounts accordingly.
Beyond violations, BetaList reserves the right to modify, unpublish, or remove any listing at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to changes in editorial standards, platform direction, or content policies. Such actions do not entitle you to a refund.
BetaList may update these terms at any time. The terms in effect at the time of your submission apply to that submission. These Submission Terms are subject to our general Terms of Service; in case of conflict, these Submission Terms prevail for matters related to submissions.
