VAL

VAL (Value Aggregation Layer) is a data operations platform that provides the capability for companies to collect data, adapt data and visualize data in an automated fashion.

Unlike traditional data lake the data can be used operationally and can be easily accessed by users on a day to day basis instead of being a blackbox which only I.T. or users with technical experience have access to. The other big difference is the ability to capture data and maintain data directly in VAL which data lake today mostly only ingest data from external systems.
