pinterest

Pinterest is a social catalog service. Think of it as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can post collections of things you love, and “follow” collections created by people with great taste.

I wouldn’t be surprise if this became one of the hottest startups of 2011. Currently blogging services such as Tumblr are very popular for sharing content, but they are all based on the blogging-concept which isn’t really optimized for this kind of use. Pinterest stould up to fill this gap. The design is gorgeous, browsing through the site is effortless and with the Twitter and Facebook signup the barrier-of-entry is as low as it can be.
