It is a best-of-breed approximate (fuzzy) name matching solution proven to improve name-matching precision and recall accuracy. Conventional name matching practices suffer from extraneous false matches (false positives) as well as missing matches (false negatives), known in the industry as precision and recall problems. Common implementations are for watch-list screening, regulatory compliance, data cleansing, record linking or deduplication, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.
