WunderType is a macOS menu bar app that corrects and rewrites your text in any app using a single shortcut. It reads your selection via the Accessibility API and replaces text in place, keeping your clipboard intact and your focus on writing. You can create custom prompts and assign each to a hotkey to translate, summarize, or adjust tone on demand.
WunderType runs local models through Ollama for a fully offline option, or connects to OpenAI or OpenRouter using your own key. The app is sandboxed, under 5 MB, has no accounts, telemetry, or servers, and stays quietly in the menu bar.
