Makes it easy to switch between Gmail, Calendar & Drive accounts

Shift makes it fast, easy and beautiful to navigate between multiple Gmail, Calendar, and Drive accounts. It's time to put an end to the multiple browser, tab, incognito, logging-in-logging-out nightmare, and de-clutter your desktop workspace!

We've made sure to add support for Gmail & Google Inbox, for all platforms (Windows, Mac, and Linux included). You'll stay up-to-date on everything with custom desktop notifications. Shift is here to help you get sh*t done.

Hey BetaListers,

A very warm welcome to the preview launch of Shift!

My team and I have been working hard to make Shift the email client that helps you get sh*t done.

With quicker access to all of your accounts, our goal was to make things a little simpler, and a lot more intuitive.

The really good news? As a BetaLister, you can sign up here to be notified about the full preview as soon as it is ready (in less than a week!).

Please let us know if you have any questions, or feedback. We're all ears!

Just join the list, and let the countdown begin.

This sounds like what I've been waiting for so long! Right now I'm needing to look for files in one Google Drive account, but haven't because the hassle of logging out of all of them, log in into the one I need to find the document, log out again, and then log in again to the ones I need.
@ianmayman We feel your logging-in-logging-out pain! Hold tight though - we will be in touch with your preview of Shift (via email) very soon. Can't wait to hear your feedback once you've had a chance to try it out!
Pretty happy with it so far. I am curious what your security protocols are to ensure user's information is safe and remains private. I would like to use this with my enterprise Gmail account, but there is no information to indicate if it complies with our security standards at the University.
Also, integrate Google Keep, Docs, Slides, and Sheets please :-)
@SpenBennett Glad you're enjoying Shift so far, and thanks for your questions. Our customers' privacy and security is a very important topic! We ensure that all information and data that goes through Shift (often referred to as network traffic) is encrypted. All emails, contacts and messages are stored locally on your computer, which means that none of your information is shared with any third-parties.

Finally, Google grants access to your account(s) using OAuth. This authentication happens directly between you and Google. Shift in no way intercepts or tampers with this process.

As for the integrations you mentioned, you can access all of your Google apps directly through Shift. If you are in Drive, and click on the 'My Drive' dropdown for that account, you can then switch over to Docs, Sheets, or Slides or connect other apps directly.

Hopefully this helps! Please feel free to reach out directly at any time as well - we are also available through [email protected] for support.
Hey everyone! Just a heads up that Shift Pro is now live, with some exciting new features (+ support for Outlook!). Check us out on Product Hunt for all the details :)
It's an awesome app, just install this app and posted a complete review on my site cybertrickz [dot] info.
Is shift free to sign up and use?
@chwang1119 Hey Alexander! Yes, we offer a free 30-day trial of Pro. Then, you can decide to upgrade ($19.99/year) or simply use our free version. Enjoy!
Keep in mind that Shift has several security flaws when it comes to user authentication. Older shift accounts do not require a password to login to, just the email address which is a huge concern from a security standpoint.

I reached out to Shift to see about having this fixed, and the individual I spoke with said that future accounts now require a password, but unfortunately they can’t do anything for previous accounts.

That is a load of crap, they should force a password reset for all accounts that do not have one and prevent login until a password has been set.

They’re trying to charge 5$ a month for an unfinished app that has major security flaws. I think they’re changing the pricing scheme to 20$ a year which is more than fair, however they’re still neglecting to fix these security issues that are still present.

To only make matters more concerning, they closed my ticket and disabled Community posts on Facebook after I left an honest but fair review about their service.

I am only here to inform, and hope by going public with this Shift will change their stance and correct the problem for all users that are at risk.

Hello again! Just wanted to help address these concerns and help answer any questions around it. First off, security is #1 for us; in fact, we wrote a nice little blog about it to help lay out exactly how we ensure that all Shift customers' information is private and secure (https://blog.tryshift.com/privacy/shift-privacy-oauth-work/). As this describes, we use oAuth to ensure that Google, and Google only, can grant access to our customers' email account(s). To clarify, the issue brought up above relates to the support portal, which is completely separate from the Shift application. Several weeks ago, given the feedback we above, we took the steps to close it off completely, and ensure that no Q&A around support is visible to anyone but the sender and our team. We apologize for any confusion, and appreciate your open feedback!
Hey BetaListers! Believe it or not, we've got another big update for you. Shift 2.0 just launched, and we've added Unified Search, Chrome Extensions, Google Services, and much more. Check it out here -> https://www.producthunt.com/posts/shift-2-0
