Create and curate collections of web pages with others

Yipp is a chrome extension that let's you easily create and curate collections of web pages with others, bringing all your group's research together in one organized and accessible place.

Start as many shared collections with your peers as you need. When you find a page that matters, simply click on the extension's icon to share it and/or leave a comment directly on the page. All your collections are easily accessible through the extension, allowing you to find any shared web page or comment with ease.

My Co-founder, Juan and I were classmates in College and have been dreaming of building a startup together. For the past year, we’ve explored countless ideas and coded several apps, but none of them really panned out.

The amount of effort we have spent doing research on industries, startups, technologies has been ridiculous, and recently we’ve realized that most of it has been a waste because it’s impossible to find our scattered sources amongst Slack, email, texts, Google Drive and so on. People often ask us questions about our findings, and all we can do is rely on our memories of things we read about months ago.

That’s why we hacked together Yipp: a tool that brings our team’s research together under organized and accessible collections of links. We decided to make a Chrome extension because it allows us to add web pages to our collections super easily as we browse stuff on our laptops.

We can’t be the only team struggling with the same issue, so we’re making Yipp available for anyone to use. We’d love you to try it out and send any questions / feedback our way. Email me directly at [email protected] and I’ll do my best to reply within 24 hours. We hope you enjoy Yipping!

PS -- huge shoutout to Josh Goldman for being a badass engineer!
