A local social network for immediate connection to everyone in your wifi
wifi.pizza came from my about a 'digital layer' existing directly on top physical spaces. Like when I'm at home, or in a cafe, or at the office there should just be a bubble where i can communicate with everyone easily without a megaphone.
So I made an app which is like an automatic 'slack' which chucks everybody on your IP into the same group. I also wanted a quick way of sharing stuff between all my devices at home without cables or logging in to stuff on every device. So wifi.pizza has no sign-up process and tries not to get in the way.
