Verve is a video-only dating app launching exclusively in Washington, DC. It eliminates bios, photos, and endless texting. Users can browse short, authentic video profiles and, upon matching, choose to start a live or scheduled video call or go straight to an in-person date. Optional, slightly unhinged prompts, inspired by Cards Against Humanity, help enhance profile videos and live connections. This app is designed for people who confidently engage in person and are less concerned about superficial details. We are launching in DC first, focusing on a small, curated audience while we build a platform worth scaling.
