Chrome extension to fight doomscrolling, and use social media with purpose
Purposely is a chrome extension that helps you use social media with purpose. Blocking social media websites is not solution. Social media is a tool and should be use like one. It's too easy to get sucked into doomscrolling even if you come in with a goal - promote your products, engage with community, reply to comments etc.
With Purposely you can set timeboxed goals for each website and when you open it you will be greeted with a popup dialog "why are you here" - it gives you time to break the doomscrolling habbit. If you really have a task to do there, you can specifiy it, set time and Purposely will show a timer to remind you why what you came for. Come, do your stuff, leave.
