The last mile of the world wide web

Local Web is a 'mile wide' web that can take advantage of all the close human connections that still exist around us today. A web that is flexible, open, and free, but just treats distance as important as it really is.

The WWW is awesome, without a doubt. But in our rush to adopt it, build lives and businesses there, we forgot about something, where we are from. We believe there is a tremendous amount of value that is stored and untapped in our places, neighborhoods, and locations, and we are building the local web to let it out. Despite our technological advances, the mile around us is the least explored place on earth. We are building the local web, and looking for early adopters to help shape it into everything it could be.
