Our headquarters are in San Francisco and we are continuing to build a world-class team in Australia.  With the acquisition of ASDigital (makers of Respak reservation & bookarestaurant online bookings products), there are currently 40 employees located in both Sydney and Melbourne. About the role

OpenTable’s global Sales and Restaurant Relations teams are dedicated to maximising restaurants’ revenue potential by utilising best in brand front-of-house management and online reservation technology.

The Business Development Manager role is responsible for bringing new restaurant clients onto the OpenTable dining network as we build presence across NSW. This is a high-adrenaline, client-facing sales role requiring industry knowledge, proven sales ability with a particular penchant for closing deals.

After identifying potential restaurant customers in your local market, you will sell OpenTable platform products to replace and enhance the current reservation taking process across the territory. The Business Development Manager will act as a business leader, manage and own their book of business, run business meetings with restaurant owners and operators, and close deals based on varying needs. 

About you

You are as passionate about hospitality and technology as we are. Your skills and experience in sales and local restaurant operations will be key to the success of our customers in NSW. If you have restaurant or hospitality management experience combined with a proven track record in business to business sales, this is great start.

In addition, we are looking for someone with a proven ability to perform well under pressure and against aggressive but realistic sales goals whilst maintaining professionalism and the OpenTable spirit at all times. Competitive, tenacious and results driven, you will be skilled at presenting new perspectives to customers that reframe and challenge the way they view their operations. An expert on trends, anomalies, competitors, and key influencers within territory, you also have proven negotiation and decision-making abilities.

Proven success working in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment will also be essential together with bundles of self-motivation and discipline thrown in as you will be at the forefront of building OpenTable's marketplace in NSW.
