Tools for smarter decision making

Hey Betalisters 👋, I'm Len. I've just launched Prenario as my first side project.

In my day job as an IP lawyer for the last 10 years, I've helped many clients who've found themselves confronted with seriously difficult and risky decisions.

I've never been satisfied with "gut instinct" approaches to decision making, so I started exploring the science behind decisions making. To my surprise, I found a rich history of learning and I ended up becoming fascinated by the topic. But equally surprising was the fact so few people knew about the useful techniques of decision science!

Rather than die wondering, I decided to try my hand at building a tool (and learning to code at the same time) that anyone can use to access the power of decision science to help make difficult decisions.

So, Betalisters, please give Prenario a try and let me know what you think! 🤗
Hey @tommedema, thanks so much for your feedback! I've reworked the home page based on your suggestions, which make good sense to me. Really appreciate your help and interest
@FastFedora , great to hear your story!

It's good to know I'm not the only one who's puzzled by the lack of decision making tools, especially when you consider the 100s of task/project management tools out there. My hope is that Prenario will change that!

Lean Decisions looks interesting - I will check it out for sure!

The approach I've taken with Prenario is based on the field of decision analysis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decision_analysis), which provides a framework for making sense of risky decision problems, and enables calculation of rationally optimal decisions based on expected utility.

I'm planning to launch a blog soon to explain the science behind Prenario in plain English, because the principles are remarkably simple once you wash away all the jargon.

Thanks again!
@use_bubbles, thanks for the assist 🙌
