This sounds like an app with great potential, but I hope it will connect via iOS to other photo apps so as to send and perhaps receives photos from them - and of course from the camera roll. I think it could prove useful at conferences and seminars. Another idea would be a feature to turn the photo and audio into a video slideshow to upload to video networks.

@ianmayman Thanks for feedback. Actually, the app instantly compiles audio with photos when record button is pressed. When you are done with recording, you simply press stop button and your audio slideshow is ready in just seconds in video format that is saved in dedicated library which you can then upload to Dropbox or share via FB, Youtube, Messenger and Viber.
Now photos from Mems can be saved in Camera Roll, and connecting the app to other photo apps seems interesting option. Thanks for suggestion!

@aniberberyan28 I am thinking connect to other photos apps for photo editing features and filters that they have, then the finished video can have better or unique photos. If others in the room are also using the app to record an event, unique photos would make it a little different. I hope photos could be added at the start and end too, perhaps for the purpose of titles and credits.

Ani: It's not super obvious right now, but it's best to use the 'REPLY' link that's at the bottom of each comment. @ianmayman Now I see your point and that makes sense to me. It is perhaps better to integrate with photo editing apps rather than have built-in editor. That will help us to concentrate on the core features of the app. Do you think that the best use case for MemTalk are events and conferences? What about mobile journalists? Wouldn't it help them to use two forms of media in synergistic way and reach their targeted audience fast?

Video may be better for mobiles journalists, it depends on what they are reporting on; video takes more time to edit but I can imagine MemTalk having a place in a mobile journalists 'digital toolbox', I think it will be useful for text media (online and print) journalists as a research app, used when interviewing someone.

This looks fantastic. I see you're also UK based, but after looking at the screenshots I feel I should ask will you cater for the UK market with £GBP and to meet the expectations of UK business lenders wanting to see a business plan? Perhaps also with permitted access such as for an accountant, solicitor, and company secretary to review the plan? Personally, I don't expect to borrow money, I only want it for myself and I wonder how much that would cost for a one user account.

It looks very interesting, although I've not been able to confirm if the email subscription works. Does or will it use a built-in accelerometer and is connected to an app? How about adding something stronger than a vibration? Perhaps vibration to alert... but if slouching continues... then follow the example of Pavlok and deliver an electric shock!

I don't need another app creating five more labels front and centre, so one thing important thing to me is that any labels that Mailbutler creates are organised as sublabels under the label "Apps" because I have so many labels. Alternatively, let me choose which labels to use.

I'm interested in the idea of a work journal to keep track of what I've done, but really not keen on sharing it, that just seems like it could be bragging or empty... which I think could be motivating. I hope there is an option to keep it private and exportable to third party services, perhaps a text file or CSV.

I'm not sure if I should register for this, I would like updates but I think not join the beta because it is US-based. What this means is what most people call local (within a few miles) is on the other side of the country based on my experience of other U.S based geosocial apps. I am in the UK.

This looks fantastic, although a planner like this does require some commitment and so many planners and journals like this launching in the past year makes such an important decision even harder to make. Having said,

Neuroplanner looks like it is high quality and well designed, although the marketing seems to focus on the cover far more than on the value created by the benefits of using the product. Some examples of what to write in the planner would be useful.

This does look interesting and promising, however, I've used a couple of similar apps (including one that is shutting down this week) and never really used them much, instead I keep using a task manager instead of using a planner. Task managers are great for lists but not so much for planning, I wonder if this could be the planner that works for me.

This looks interesting and preferable to Slack which is mostly just for developers, coders, early adopters and startup founders. I'm involved in several business groups and chats, all of them share messages through Facebook, most of them only through Facebook - not Slack - so Facebook authorisation is absolutely necessary to get people using the app without having to register on yet another website.

@chachafance I have been thinking one solution might be a subdomain with a default/catchall address, maybe if this will be better, but I'm sure it there will be a cost. For example, I could create a subdomain xyz123.example.com and with default address, then I just subscribe using goninja@xyz123.example.com or whatever I want before @ sign. Generally, I don't have email problems apart from getting too many, although I do sometimes wonder if my address has been sold.

I'm sceptical. It looks like a good space saver and a great way to offer many ways to send a message, but for Facebook alone, which almost everyone uses, there is the Facebook social plugin. I would like to see a demo or video of it working without having to create an account in order to send a message.

I wonder what is the long-term future of this app. I've wanted something like this for a long time, although it might be now too late since several big networks have an expiring post feature. Hola! I'm unsure of how this works, why it needs to connect to bank accounts, or how it will do that? Normally apps like this can only connect to American banks. The impression I get is that you enter your expenses and the app then calculates and predicts the cost of living in each country based on recent figures and the current exchange rate, is that right?

Regarding the forecast – we use data from different public sources to collect information on the cost of living and then compare these numbers to your own transactions, creating projections of your expenses based on the difference between two cities/countries. Hope that helps.

This is fantastic! I feel like I've wanted this for so long! I know there are apps and services that incorporate similar features, but they all seem to cost too much and offer far more than I need. Hi @ianmayman, Calcapp is "for Excel users" in the sense that we have worked hard to ensure that the interface and the formulas make sense for people used to Excel. Almost 250 of the formula functions we support work in exactly the same way as Excel's functions, meaning that you don't have to relearn anything if you know how to, say, calculate the interest on a loan using Excel.

Now, Google Sheets can obviously make many of the same claims in regards to being compatible with Excel, and that means that if you're used to Google Sheets, using Calcapp should be very straightforward.

@ianmayman Good point. My guess would be that every country has different laws regarding this kind of stuff which becomes complicated very quickly. In that case starting with one market (the U.S.) is probably a good idea. Once that works, they can roll it out to more countries.

I'm totally with you though, being based in the Netherlands. Many services like these take quite a while to become available abroad.

@ianmayman Hi, I’m a developer at YouGile. The main feature is an ability to fully customize the workflow with integrated js editor inside the app.

By default YouGile looks like a mix of Trello + Slack, but it can be tweaked to meet needs of a particular team which is nice for bigger teams.

If others in the room are also using the app to record an event, unique photos would make it a little different. This looks interesting, I just need a way to identify which tweets get the most engagement and then share those. Twitter Analytics does that fairly well, so I'll be sure to look more at your service and see if it is a good fit for what I am doing. I am sceptical about this because those asking for ID may not know about Yoti and therefore may not accept the ID as valid. I think a lot assurance is needed also because of the risks of identity theft if it's all contained in once service, that would Yoti a huge target for hackers.

Also noting your comment on Product Hunt for a similar product to us out of Y-Combinator and we will have a direct debit/standing mandate checking system that will automatically hunt down and cancel or downgrade any subscriptions you do not actively use, this such as Premium Netflix down to a normal one or recurring membership to magazines or websites you may have forgotten about. Is there are anything to ease the temptation to raid the Plum account to go buy something? For example, can I stop myself from withdrawing by either paying a fee to you or waiting an agreed period of time for the money? Could the requested withdrawal be cancelled (once temptation has passed) up to 24 hours before it is transferred?

I imagine you'll charge fees somewhere, so how will you make money?

So the Health and Experience bar are similar to what you have went you play a RPG game. Health indicates the health level of your character where when you missed a task , it will be damaged. @gobricknow I'm not sure if this is necessary for me, but I've registered anyway, my score is 48. Messages I get from friends and family are easily manageable.

The vast majority of messages I get are automated app notifications, Facebook group notifications (which I have properly under control) and by far it's mass marketed emails from people who appear to assume I have nothing to do besides reading their emails, and sometimes they assume I must be an American because I speak English. I thought earn.com to be the solution, but most marketing email address are "no reply" and also they on rare occasions send me something that needs to be read.

Sometimes alongside the constant marketing messages and webinar invites, I get an email that does need a quick response. To combat this, I regularly unsubscribe from lots of email newsletters when I have a go at catching up.

I guess I'll see soon enough if Brick will make any difference.

@ianmayman Sounds like you have a great handle on your notifications, and unsubscribing from emails that don't serve you are a great solution for saving time in the long-term. However, even without notifications distracting us, we have found that many of us distract ourselves with impulses to check out phones, often in subconscious moments of stress (I can't finish this essay!) or boredom (this video is too long!). We also tackle people's own impulses by incentivizing Brick Time, which is a daily ritual of at least an hour a day with your phone in airplane mode.

It's just bad timing- we submitted our startup about a month ago and only got featured yesterday - in the meantime we cancelled our Kickstarter because we noticed we weren't going to make it. However, we are still working on this project and are thinking about launching a new campaign in the coming months.

I've been using this for a little while and it's fantastic for articles I want to read later today, but not put into Pocket where it seems like I'll never get around to it. when the article is in my email, I usually do get around to it and this extension does a great job of formatting the article for email.

Usually, I don't give donations for software, but if I'm required to pay to use it, then this is one extension that I think I would pay for, maybe $5pa or $10pa.

I think unless I have those expensive Apple earbuds then app this would still require me to look at my phone. It's a good idea though. I have the Beeline cycling gadget for what they call "fuzzy navigation", but think it would be even better if an app like this vibrated one side of a belt to indicate direction, then you wouldn't need the headphones or the screen.

This is fantastic! There are a few high profile timezone websites, but none as simple or minimalist as this, just search and add the location!

The event creation looks great too, but it would be good if it could be expanded a little to include multiple dates and locations for arranging an event, and for this data to be saved through an associated Google account and in cookies for those that refuse to link an account. Please note European compliance requires requesting permission from European users to store cookies.

I think the Chrome extension will also be very useful for online events where promoters only ever give U.S timezones.

@ianmayman Thanks for the feedback; we know there are some alternatives out there, but we really wanted to focus on ease-of-use, multi-platform compatibility, tipping, no-commitment and flexible payment options. Glad at least some of these value propositions spoke to you!

Yes, you can choose your currency. By default, it is set to the one that has a positive balance, but you can change that at any time by clicking on the extension and going into "Preferences." From there, you can select your Active Currency (the default currency that you send with) and the amount you want to send per button click (in USD).

The funds are automatically transferred to the recipient's Worthyt Account and available for withdrawal. If the user doesn't have a Worthyt account, we will send them a message after their account accumulates a balance of $3 or greater. If after a year the money is not collected, it goes to the platform.

@gobricknow I'm not sure if this is necessary for me, but I've registered anyway, my score is 48. Messages I get from friends and family are easily manageable.

The vast majority of messages I get are automated app notifications, Facebook group notifications (which I have properly under control) and by far it's mass marketed emails from people who appear to assume I have nothing to do besides reading their emails, and sometimes they assume I must be an American because I speak English. I thought earn.com to be the solution, but most marketing email address are "no reply" and also they on rare occasions send me something that needs to be read.

Sometimes alongside the constant marketing messages and webinar invites, I get an email that does need a quick response. To combat this, I regularly unsubscribe from lots of email newsletters when I have a go at catching up.

I guess I'll see soon enough if Brick will make any difference.

@ianmayman Sounds like you have a great handle on your notifications, and unsubscribing from emails that don't serve you are a great solution for saving time in the long-term. However, even without notifications distracting us, we have found that many of us distract ourselves with impulses to check out phones, often in subconscious moments of stress (I can't finish this essay!) or boredom (this video is too long!). We also tackle people's own impulses by incentivizing Brick Time, which is a daily ritual of at least an hour a day with your phone in airplane mode.

We built this for agencies who might regularly work with many freelancers, one-off contractors, and clients in the same project. Can you accomplish the same thing with another password manager? Sure - but it will take more effort. Usually more effort than most people are willing to make, or adding security vulnerabilities to their company and the clients they work with (sharing a single LastPass account, or sharing every credential from every client with a single content writer).

We are looking into supporting more dynamic inputs, like what you mentioned above. Essentially, we would have "Credentials" where we are able to autofill using our browser extensions, and then open ended listings where you can add custom fields. From what we have discovered in our user testing, most of the users don't generally receive credit card information or other confidential information that is to be shared beyond one person. A client manager may receive a credit card number for inputting into AdWords, but it's never to be seen again. Of course - ElePass should replace password managers for all of the agency staffers (ideally), so it's on our roadmap!

The Education Centre and Training Centre sounds like it could be good, but you only get that by spending at least $99 every month. As for the rest of it, it's free to find opportunities on Clickbank and the page-builder and blog tools are free with Wordpress and many other services. So, I'm sceptical about this.

Are there rules such as minimum characters for each message sent and a maximum number of messages to each recipient per week or month? If not, then how is it different from a chat app? If there are rules like this, then users will make an effort to get more into each message and it will be more like pen pals.

@ianmayman There are a few requirements, including minimum character length before being able to send a new letter. Also, all new letters are filtered through proprietary tools (including A.I.) to prevent abusive/offensive content before it ever hits our platform.
